ChildCareEd is an Approved Sponsor Agency with Wyoming STARS. ChildCareEd courses are approved by Wyoming STARS for training hour requirements for those who work in child care centers, family child care centers and family child care homes. This includes hours of training for directors, staff, providers, substitutes and volunteers.

Preservice training requirements for all staff:

• Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases 
• Prevention of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and Use of Safe Sleep Practices
• Administration of Medicine 
• Prevention of and response to allergic reactions 
• Building and Physical Premises Safety 
• Shaken Baby Syndrome 
• Responding to Emergencies 
• Handling and Storage of Hazardous Materials
• Appropriate Precautions in Transportation of Children
• Abuse and Neglect: Signs and Reporting

Annual training requirements:

32 hours every 2 years including

• Infectious disease control
• Fire safety
• Sanitation
• Mandatory reporting
• Safety and health of children
• Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
• Safe Sleep
• Shaken Baby Syndrome
• Transportation

Infant Toddler Teacher requirements:

• CDA Infant and Toddler

Director and Owner of Family child care requirements:

• Shall have completed six (6) clock hours of child care training in addition to pre-service training prior to licensing

Wyoming STARS Registry

ChildCareEd approved courses can be found on the Wyoming STARS Registry. Users may purchase approved courses through the ChildCareEd website. For Registry credit, please add your Registry ID number to your ChildCareEd account. Attendance data will be uploaded weekly to the Registry. Please allow a minimum of 5 business days for your completed course to appear on your Registry account.

With Subscription Services, you can purchase training hours at a low one-time cost. There are three tiers to choose from, depending on your needs:

• Basic: Unlimited online training
• Plus: Unlimited online training plus online CDA training courses
• Instructor-Led: Unlimited online training, plus all CDA online training courses, and one Virtual Class each month led by a trained Educational Specialist
