CDA Subject Area 8: Understanding the principles of child development and learning

This 10-hour training course is designed to equip child care providers with a comprehensive understanding of child development and learning, aligning with CDA Subject Area 8. Participants will explore key developmental domains, theories, and stages, including Piaget's cognitive development theory. They will gain insights into prenatal development, brain development, and the influential roles of genetics and environment. By understanding typical and atypical development, as well as the impact of culture and diversity, child care providers can create nurturing environments that support children's growth and learning at every stage.
