Infants and Toddlers in Family Child Care pose some unique challenges to health and safety. Cribs, crawling babies, mobile toddlers, stairs, furniture, and list goes on! Family Child Care providers need to be aware of all the risk factors when caring for infants and toddlers in their homes. When providers know the risks, they are better prepared to mitigate them through intentional planning of the space and more informed practices. In this 3-hour in-person/Zoom training, Family child care providers will gain valuable information on the major risk factors for infants and toddlers in their home and the ways in which they can diminish or eliminate those risks. Being prepared for accidents and injuries is the best way to prevent them.
