Understanding how to create a balanced schedule of active, creative, and sedentary time is essential for fostering healthy development in children. This course equips child care providers with the tools to define and implement structured and unstructured activities, set appropriate daily time limits for sedentary behaviors like screen time, and understand their impact on children's growth. Participants will learn how to use available materials and equipment to design engaging activities that promote physical, social, and cognitive skills. By mastering these skills, providers can create a well-rounded environment that supports healthy habits and developmental milestones.
