Understand how to support learning by encouraging children’s problem solving, thinking skills, and academic and social competence. Upon completion of this session learners will understand developmentally appropriate practices for school-age children with developmental, emotional, cognitive, language and/or physical needs; demonstrate an understanding of how the learning environment and equipment modifications support individual needs; and identify curriculum and activity resources specific to school-age child care.

No prerequisites are required for the completion of this course.
