Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the reimbursement program, applicants must:
- Residency and Employment: Live or work in Montgomery County, MD.
- Employment Status: Work at least 20 hours per week in a licensed child care center or registered family child care #home in Montgomery County.
- Maryland Child Care Credential: Hold a current Maryland Child Care Credential at any level.
- CDA Credential: Successfully obtain or renew their CDA credential issued by the Council for Professional Recognition.

- Up to $425 reimbursement for the CDA application fee.
- CDA Renewal Application Fee:
- Up to $129 for the CDA renewal application fee.

- Enroll Today: Enroll in one of ChildCareEd’s 120-hour CDA Training courses.
- CDA Credential: Successfully obtain or renew your CDA credential issued by the Council for Professional Recognition.
- Access the Form: Complete the CDA Scholarship and Reimbursement Form.
- Verify Eligibility: Confirm that you meet residency, employment, and credential requirements.
- Submit Applicant Information: Provide personal and employment details, including proof of employment (e.g., a letter on program letterhead).
- Indicate Reimbursement Type: Specify whether you’re applying for training course, initial application fee, or renewal application fee reimbursement.
- Attach Required Documents:
- CDA Training receipt from ChildCareEd
- CDA Application receipt from the Council for Professional Recognition
- Proof of Maryland Child Care Credential
- Certificate of Completion from ChildCareEd for your CDA training
- CDA Credential Certificate issued by the Council for Professional Recognition
- Submit Application: Review and electronically submit the form.
Important Considerations
- Timing: Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis while funding lasts. Only expenses incurred in the current fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) are eligible.
