To qualify for the reimbursement program, applicants must:

  • Residency and Employment: Live or work in Montgomery County, MD.
  • Employment Status: Work at least 20 hours per week in a licensed child care center or registered family child care #home in Montgomery County.
  • Maryland Child Care Credential: Hold a current Maryland Child Care Credential at any level.
  • CDA Credential: Successfully obtain or renew their CDA credential issued by the Council for Professional Recognition.

Reimbursement Details

    • Up to $425 reimbursement for the CDA application fee.
  3. CDA Renewal Application Fee:
    • Up to $129 for the CDA renewal application fee.

Application Process

  1. Enroll Today: Enroll in one of ChildCareEd’s 120-hour CDA Training courses.
  2. CDA Credential: Successfully obtain or renew your CDA credential issued by the Council for Professional Recognition.
  3. Access the Form: Complete the CDA Scholarship and Reimbursement Form.
  4. Verify Eligibility: Confirm that you meet residency, employment, and credential requirements.
  5. Submit Applicant Information: Provide personal and employment details, including proof of employment (e.g., a letter on program letterhead).
  6. Indicate Reimbursement Type: Specify whether you’re applying for training course, initial application fee, or renewal application fee reimbursement.
  7. Attach Required Documents:
    1. CDA Training receipt from ChildCareEd
    2. CDA Application receipt from the Council for Professional Recognition
    3. Proof of Maryland Child Care Credential
    4. Certificate of Completion from ChildCareEd for your CDA training
    5. CDA Credential Certificate issued by the Council for Professional Recognition
