We are seeking a passionate Preschool assistant teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and possess a strong educational background to provide a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.

Qualifications:
- Responsible and Punctual during schedule.
- Utilize various teaching methods to ensure all students are learning effectively.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
- Monitor and assess student progress to provide individualized support when needed.
- Collaborate with parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for each child.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Required Skills, Education, and Experience


Required:
High school or equivalent
CPR and First Aid Certification
1 year of in-person experience working with children.
Dependable.
Enjoy working with young children.
Willingness to take required child care certification courses.
Ability to stand all day both inside the classroom and outside on the playground.
Ability to be active in ensuring the safety of the children and in assisting them through the education curriculum.
Must be aware of the children and their environment at all times.
Must be aware of potentially dangerous situations and able to take proactive action as necessary.
Manage lunch, nap, recess, and snack times.
Supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times.
Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms.
Patient, flexible, friendly, and reliable.
Flexibility to work with the group on your own or to work as a team with fellow staff.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

Preferred:
45 or 90 hrs. Early Childhood Education
9 hrs. Communication
Medication Administration
Some college.
Bilingual (Spanish).
Willingness to learn about the Montessori method of education.
Excellent communication and instructional skills.

Compensation Type: hourly
