VIRGINIA: vaaeyc CDA Scholarship Project

vaaeyc has an annual scholarship project to assist educators working with young children who obtain their Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Through this scholarship, vaaeyc will reimburse 50% of the initial application fee or 50% of the renewal application fee. 

Awards are given during vaaeyc’s fiscal year (January 1st through December 31st) on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the funds are allocated for the vaaeyc fiscal year, no more scholarships will be awarded until the following fiscal year.

How does it work?

1. The Candidate must be a current member of vaaeyc.

2. Once you have earned your CDA Credential, you may submit for reimbursement for the payments to the CDA Council within vaaeyc’s fiscal year. vaaeyc may consider requests for reimbursements for any payments made to the CDA Council no more than 3 months prior to vaaeyc’s fiscal year if the vaaeyc budget allows to grant a scholarship. You are strongly encouraged to submit their application for CDA Scholarship as early in the year as possible. A copy of the credential must be mailed with the application in order to verify the status of the Candidate.
