National Child Safety and Protection Month is observed in November every year. It provides us with time to focus on the health and safety of kids closest to us. This focus acts as a reminder to raise awareness about safety and the importance of following lawful safety guidelines. Child Safety and Protection Month is an excellent time to have activities to teach and reinforce “How-to-Stay-Safe, Safe” with the children and families. The observance is also a reminder to review and update your program’s Emergency Preparedness plan. There are many safety-related classes and resources in the ChildCareED FREE Resource Library for staff and families. Here is just a small selection for you to review.
