This unique opportunity equips participants with essential #emergency-response skills, including CPR techniques and basic first aid procedures. The goal is to provide individuals with the knowledge and confidence to act swiftly and #safely in critical situations, such as during a cardiac arrest, choking emergency, or injury.

Comprehensive Lifesaving Skills for All

While this #free training does not result in a certification card, it covers a wide range of life-saving techniques that can prove invaluable in everyday scenarios. Participants will learn the following:

  • CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • Choking protocols
  • First aid for injuries, including burns, cuts, and fractures
  • Responding to diabetic emergencies
  • Managing severe allergic reactions with epinephrine administration

These vital skills ensure that participants are prepared to act in emergencies and provide assistance until professional medical help arrives. Whether you are a parent, caregiver, #teacher, or community member, this training is designed for everyone, regardless of prior experience.

In-Person, Hands-On Training

The free training takes place in-person at ChildCareEd’s Gaithersburg, Maryland office, located at 839 Quince Orchard Blvd. Suite D. This four-hour session allows participants to engage in hands-on practice under the guidance of experienced instructors. The interactive nature of the training ensures that participants not only learn the necessary techniques but also practice them in a safe, supportive environment.

For high school #students, this training is a fantastic opportunity to earn Student Service Learning (SSL) hours while gaining valuable life-saving skills that can be applied in everyday life or future #careers.

No Certification Card Issued

It's important to note that while this free training provides invaluable knowledge and experience, participants will not receive a certification card upon completion. For those who require an official certification, ChildCareEd offers an alternative course: CPR (Adult, Child, Infant), AED & Pediatric First Aid In-Person Training, which includes the issuance of a certification card.

A Commitment to Community Safety

By offering this free event, ChildCareEd demonstrates its ongoing commitment to community #safety and well-being. While professional certification may not be provided, the skills learned in this training could make all the difference in a real-life emergency. It’s an accessible way for individuals to become better prepared to assist their families, friends, and neighbors in times of need.
