Job Description

The CCACC Academy is a state-of-the-art early childhood program in Rockville, MD. The CCACC Academy uses the Wonder Curriculum ®for Preschool. The Wonder Curriculum is a research-based, comprehensive collection of knowledge-building and daily practice resources that explain the “what,” “why,” and “how” of learning. We are looking for a LEAD Pre-K Instructor. Lead teachers are experienced educators who work with other teachers, administrators, and parents to help teachers and students have a positive, productive school experience.

RESPONSIBILITES & DUTIES

Responsible for working with Teacher Assistant and Program Aide to plan and provide activities that support children in their social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and linguistic development.

Responsible for the planning and implementing activities, routines, and curriculum used in the classroom for children. Adheres to the State of Maryland Early Learning requirements, Head Start standards and conducts appropriate observations and assessments.

Provides individualized curriculum that meets the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of children.

Must ensure appropriate child guidance and communication with families.

Takes ownership over the classroom and makes sure it is conducive to a productive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s Level Degree in Early Childhood Education REQUIRED

90-hour early childhood certification or Time to Get Certification REQUIRED

Experience with and affinity for working with young children

Excellent classroom management skills

Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills

CDA Preschool Credential with Portfolio Review
9 Hour Communication Course
6 Hour Medication Administration Training (MAT)
Pediatric First Aid & CPR Adult, Child, Infant Blended
3 Hour Aide Orientation
