Celebree School of Rockville is a brand-new state of the art school (opened in May-2022) that is dedicated to the goal of excellence in #early_education. We are looking for a dynamic & highly talented School Director to lead our brand-new school in Rockville.

Qualifications:

- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leadership with a #preschool program.
- Strong leadership skills, excellent communication (both written and oral) abilities and a strong working knowledge of technology (devices and software) are absolutely necessary to thrive in this role.
- One must be a team player, self-motivated, highly organized, prepared, and able to multitask.

Essential Functions:
- Overseeing the operations of the school with support from the Assistant Director.
- Responsible for Motivating and Coaching team members in accomplishing and exceeding established goals.
- Leader in change implementation.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws along with Celebree standards and policies.
- Document and maintain all paperwork and record keeping effectively for the Operation.
- Plan Celebree activities and actively participates in those activities.
- Coordinate and host team member meetings, training sessions, open houses, etc.
- Anticipate staffing needs; identify and hire the best talent; supervises, coaches, develops and motivates assistant director and school staff.
- Maintain effective communication to keep team members and parents properly informed.
- Project daily and monthly staffing needs of the school.
- Supports Orientation and ongoing training according to Celebree best practices.
- Jointly collaborate with the Assistant Director to focus and reach enrollment goals.
- Promote a positive work environment through effective listening, ensuring team members and parents have a voice.
- Provide team members with timely and specific feedback including classroom observations, one-on-ones, and performance evaluations.
- Promote teamwork and enthusiasm, foster commitment to Celebree’s mission, vision, and values: protect, educate, and nurture.
- Provide excellent customer service experiences, e.g., thorough, friendly tours; welcoming environment; accessible for parent meetings, phone calls, etc.; concerns addressed in a timely manner.
- Oversee the development of lesson plans and instructional aids/materials for classroom activities.
- Coach and develop staff in the classroom to ensure that the classroom functions in an orderly manner.
- Ensure that all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition and are used and maintained properly.
- Follows and complies with all licensing regulations.
- Ensures school is always in compliance with licensing ratios, standards and requirements.
- Address all parent, child, and classroom team member concerns in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the school medication schedule is followed.
- Ensure that the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained.
- Oversee the arrangement of classroom into well-defined and age-appropriate interest areas.
- Review and oversee the implementation of classroom lesson plans, programs, and schedules.
- Ensures the delivery of family/teacher conferences bi-annually.
- Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws, MSDE-OCC regulations, and Celebree standards, policies and procedures.
- Plans and supervises school field trips and programs; ensures curriculum is followed appropriately.

Education and Experience:
- Director Qualified (meeting all MSDE – OCC Requirements).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field preferred. Those with experience and an Associates Degree will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- 40-45 clock hours administrative training, 9 clock hours of training in communicating with staff, parents, and the public.
- OCC conducted 3 clock hours regulation training session.
- 45 clock hours of Infant/Toddler Training.
- 90 clock hours Preschool Child Development and Curriculum Planning.
- 45 clock hours each in Child Development (birth through school age) and Curriculum for School Age Care.
- Minimum 3 years of administration experience required.
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience in a licensed childcare center required; service-oriented work experience a plus.
- Minimum 2 years management experience required; childcare center management preferred but we will consider staff management experience in a different field.
- Experience with directing a large child care center preferred.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of child behavioral and developmental stages.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of MSDE-OCC licensing requirements and other regulations as well as understanding of why these structures exist.
- Talent for leading and elevating a team via coaching, mentoring and clear, consistent communication in a well-established culture of accountability.
