Are you an early childhood educator in Georgia looking to advance your career? Georgia DECAL Scholars offers a number of scholarships to help you pursue your Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential —at no cost to you!

If your application is approved, you can apply to receive $1,000 supplements for each 200-hour stage of obtaining your CDA, up to 3 supplements!

  📌 Who’s Eligible?

✅ You are a United States citizen, Legal Permanent Resident or Qualified Alien

✅ You have maintained 6 months of continuous employment in one of the following paid roles: Teacher, Assistant Teacher, Floater, Assistant Director, Director or Owner

✅ You have an active profile within the Georgia Professional Development System (GaPDS)

✅ You work at least 30 hours per week (if your employer is a Child care learning center licensed by DECAL or the Department of Defense, Family child care learning home licensed by DECAL, Exempt Georgia Head Start Center, Georgia Lottery-funded Pre-K program in a public school)

OR

✅ You work at least 15 hours per week (if your employer is an after-school program licensed by DECAL)
