This is an IN-PERSON Training. ** Government-issue ID required when attending class **
Gain skills to administer medications safely to children in child care centers and family child care homes. This state-approved curriculum provides 6 clock hours of MSDE Core of Knowledge: Health, Safety, and Nutrition and addresses NAEYC standards for program accreditation. Area's reviewed include practices and procedures for administering over-the-counter and prescription medications in accordance with state child care licensing requirements; instruction is provided by qualified health professionals. A Medication Administration handbook is provided in class. Core of Knowledge: 6 clock hrs. HSN.
There is a minimum enrollment of 5 students in order for this class to proceed. The class is restricted to a maximum of 15 students. All classes are non-refundable

URGENT January 11th Inclement Weather 2 HOUR DELAY
Due to the impact of snow accumulation throughout our region and ongoing freezing temperatures creating dangerous icy and slippery roadways and sidewalks, ChildCareEd training on Saturday, January 11, 2025, will begin with a 2 hour delay. The Medication training at 839 Quince Orchard Blvd Suite D Gaithersburg MD 20878 will start at 10:30 a.m. and continue as planned ending 4:30 p.m. This delay allows crews additional time to clear roads, sidewalks, and event sites. Please stay safe and exercise caution if traveling.
If you would like to reschedule for the Medication Training on January 13th and 15th,the class time is 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm on both nights. Attendance is required both nights. We have limited space in this class so it will be on a first come first serve basis.
