Training Description:
Effective school-age #teachers build strong, nurturing relationships with children and families through communication. When teachers engage in positive communication, they are also cultivating trust and mutual respect for all parties, whether it is in conversation or through conferences. Strong communication encourage mutually beneficial
family-school-community partnerships that have a positive, direct impact on children and their learning. In this #3-hour online child care course, learners will be able to:
● Demonstrate communication skills that enable intercultural communication, including effective listening skills;
● Recognize the barriers to effective communication for school-aged children;
● Identify strategies to increase parent involvement in the school-age setting;
● List methods to help you plan a conference; and
● Identify what to avoid during a conference.
