You just really have no idea what they are going to say 🤣As teachers we often learn more about children and their families than we care to learn. This can result in some interesting conversations at times. 

The reality of the situation is that children develop a deep connection with trusted caregivers and as a result, they share important thoughts and feelings. You have become their safe space to ask important questions. So take it as a compliment and encourage them to continue to share whatever they would like. Sometimes children do not have a trusted adult at home to share with so you can become an essential part of their social and emotional development. 

Or we can just have a good laugh at the things children tell us!
